About the trainer

Hello, I'm Francis O'Neill

I work out of Evesham in Worcestershire - where I have lived for the last fourteen years - and until the end of 2014 provided home-based training for anyone living within a 15 mile radius of Evesham. I now deliver some courses through Evesham College - check out the Coming up page.

I am a qualified teacher with twenty years experience in teaching and training in IT/ICT (Information & Communications Technology) within adult learning - using both well known and some 'in-house' software. I've taught from beginners to the more advanced learners.

Education is emancipation

I'm on a bit of a mission, and have been for many years, to help people lift their IT skills and take full advantage of what Information Technology and being 'online' can offer - not only for shopping and banking but with regards to the knowledge that is available at our finger tips. Anyone who has ever visited Wikipedia will know what I am talking about.

I'm also passionate about 'lifelong-learning,' believing that it is essential we never stop learning and every means be at our disposal to aid us to continue to explore and grow.

Teaching credentials

Apart from attending a fair amount of non-accredited training in my time, I have also taken a number of qualifications for what I do... These include:

  • PGCE (Post-Grad., Cert., in Education.)
  • City & Guilds teaching certificate
  • An RSA Advanced Diploma (Royal Society of Arts)
  • The ECDL
