About the trainer
Hello, I'm Francis O'Neill
This page is really to let you know more about the
person offering you this training.
I work out of Evesham in Worcestershire -
where I have lived for the last thirteen years.
I am a qualified teacher with
nearly twenty years experience in teaching and
training in IT/ICT (Information &
Communications Technology) within adult
learning - using both well known and some
'in-house' software. I've taught from beginners to the more

I'm on a mission, and have been for many years, to help people lift their IT skills and take full advantage of what Information Technology and being 'online' can offer - regards the knowledge that is available at our finger tips. Any who has ever visited Wikipedia will know what I am talking about.
I'm also passionate about 'lifelong-learning,' believing that it is essential we never stop learning and every means be at our disposal to aid us to continue to explore and grow.
Prior to Progress with IT, I was an IT Lecturer at Gloscat (now
Gloucestershire College), and later the
ICT Trainer for Stratford District Council...where I also ran a UK Online Centre. Currently I also run some courses at Evesham College - you can find out more about courses there on the Training page.
Teaching IT experience
I've taught across a wide range of
IT topics mostly to groups heading towards IT
For example the ECDL (European
Computer Driving Licence); CLAIT
(Computer Literacy & Information
Technology); NOCNs (National Open College
Network); and a range of City &
